The Highway 401 Nudell Bush Road Underpass is located in the Municipality of South Dundas, United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. It was built in 1965 and has been rehabilitated twice: first in 1986 and then in 2011 and is nearing the end of its service life.
The Ministry is planning to replace the 401 Underpass at Nudell Bush Road. McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd. and LEA Consulting Ltd. Joint Venture (MP-LEA Joint Venture) is completing the Preliminary Design for the replacement. The underpass replacement is following the approved environmental planning process for Group ‘B’ undertakings in accordance with the MTO Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000). Historically, the underpass was referred to as ‘Farran Point Road Underpass’ by the Ministry, as Farran Point is located on the St. Lawrence River south-east of Highway 401. |
